How do I find my LMC?
It may be helpful to talk to others about their experiences. [Kiwi Families] suggests good questions to ask a LMC. For example: how many births they have led in the last five years. How did those births go? What are their qualifications? How do they stay up-to-date? What are their [intervention rates]? What equipment do they carry? Who do they have as back-up? Who would they send to an emergency at home?
Start looking for your LMC early on as in some areas there may be limited options.
