How much parental leave do I get?
In New Zealand, working mums are entitled to 14 weeks paid leave, paid at 100 percent of their average weekly earnings up to a maximum payment cap of $407.36. Visit the Department of Labour's website to find out whether you are eligible and what your entitlements are. If you are unemployed you are not entitled to paid parental leave, but may be entitled to the parental tax credit.
