How can I tackle text or email bullying?
- Tell your child they are not alone. Many are bullied in this way.
- Consider having voice calls or texts from the bully blocked. Talk to the phone company or email provider about the options. In some situations, they may bar bullies from their network.
- Your child needs to be careful about who they give their phone number and email address to.
- If bullying is happening at school, talk to the principal or IT manager.
- As a last resort you may need to change numbers and email address, although this may not solve the problem long term.
